Camarillo, California – The City of Camarillo and the Camarillo LDS Church will host the 8th Annual Emergency Preparedness Expo this Saturday, September 7, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., in Constitution Park, at the intersection of Carmen Drive and Paseo Camarillo.
The Emergency Preparedness Expo is a free, family-friendly event. It is a fun way to help prepare our homes and businesses for emergencies. Free hydration backpacks will be given to the first 300 visitors to visit at least eight of the event booths and demonstrations.
Numerous organizations and services will participate, including:

•VC Sheriff’s K9 Unit

•Boys Scouts and Girl Scouts
•Blue Can Emergency Water
•AT&T emergency services
•Food packaging, solar cooking, and Dutch oven demonstrations
The Mister Softee ice cream truck will be at the event, along with other fun attractions for kids, such as photo opportunities with emergency and military personnel and their equipment.
