CITY GRANT PROGRAMS
COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT (CDBG)
The Community Development Block Grant Program is funded by the Department of Housing and Urban Development, and administrated by the Community Development Department. The CDBG funds are used to provide affordable housing, rehabilitate existing residences, provide public services to families, seniors and youth, and support programs for the homeless and those threatened with homelessness.
COMMUNITY SERVICE GRANTS
Community Service Grants are funded from the City's General Fund and are administered by the City's Finance Department. The grants are available to qualified nonprofit groups with a current 501(c)(3) registration, such as community service organizations, nonprofit corporations, and parent/teacher groups. Capital projects and community service activities (including enhancement of established events and programs) that directly serve or benefit Camarillo residents are eligible.
The City of Camarillo holds an annual presentation for nonprofit groups and agencies seeking Community Service Grant funding. This presentation usually takes place every year in December.
Attendance is recommended for those planning on requesting Community Service Grant funds from the City of Camarillo. Application packets for the grant program are available on the City’s website following the workshop.
