Where Can I Shred Personal and Business Documents?
On Saturday, April 29, the Adolfo Camarillo
High School Naturally Green Club and Access will host a secure paper-shredding event at Rancho Campana High School, 4235 Mar Vista Drive, from 8 a.m. to 12 noon. This event is open to all City residents and businesses. Participants will enter from Fieldgate Drive; access through Camino Alvarez will be closed. Cost is $5 (cash) per vehicle, payable when you enter the event area. All proceeds will benefit the Naturally Green Club.
The event offers a low cost secure location to dispose of confidential documents. Discarding confidential personal information in your household trash is a risky practice that makes you susceptible to identity theft. Documents containing Social Security numbers and other identifying information—including credit card statements, applications, receipts, medical records, bank statements, tax and other legal documents—should all be shredded instead.
Access will shred documents with a per-customer maximum of 10 boxes (15”x12”x9”) or 12 grocery bags of documents. Once the shred trucks are filled, collection will stop.
