The Department of General Services directs and provides program development, administration, and coordination of internal general operations. Areas of oversight include Library Operations, Information Systems, Facilities Management, and Fleet Maintenance.
Richard Petropulos, Director of General Services, heads a staff of 13 full time employees with varied responsibilities in four divisions
Library Operations consists of onsite technical support, facilities and grounds maintenance, event setup, patron support, and operating contract oversight.
Information Systems oversees the Local Area and Wide Area Computer Networks, Internet Website, Geographical Information Systems (GIS), mid-range computing, software development, training, implementation, printing and duplicating, graphics, telecommunication, audio-visual services, and office automation.
Facilities Management oversees property management operations, monitors all building systems, manages and contracts for cleaning, repair, and maintenance.
