ELECTIONS
General Municipal Elections are held the first Tuesday, following the first Monday, in November of even numbered years. General municipal elections are for the election of Councilmembers and for other purposes as the City Council may prescribe. The California Elections Code establishes the procedures for conducting municipal elections. The City Clerk’s department administers the City’s municipal elections.
City Council members serve four-year terms of office. The terms are staggered so that three terms will expire in 2014 and two terms will expire in 2016.
