CITY GRANT PROGRAMS
Community Development Block Grant (CDBG)
The Community Development Block Grant Program is funded by the Department of Housing and Urban Development, and administrated in the Community Development Department. The CDBG funds are used to provide affordable housing, rehabilitate existing residences, provide public services to families, seniors and youth, and to provide programs for the homeless and those threatened with homelessness.
COMMUNITY SERVICE GRANTS
Community Service Grant funds come from the City of Camarillo and support projects sponsored by non-profit organizations. This does not include city co-sponsored events such as Concerts in the Park, the Holiday Parade, the 4th of July Celebration, or the Fiesta & Street Fair. Those programs compete in a separate Cultural Arts grant program.
The City of Camarillo holds an annual workshop for non-profit groups and agencies seeking Community Service Grant funding. This workshop usually takes place every year in December.
Attendance is recommended for those planning on requesting Community Service Grant funds from the City of Camarillo. Application packets for the grant program are available on the City’s website following the workshop.
If you would like to be on the mailing list for the workshop or have any questions regarding the Community Service Grant Program, you may contact Genie Wilson, Finance Director, at (805) 388-5321 or by Email.
